Lucio Parro

Lucio Parro is an active boy 7-year-old boy who just wanted to be like all the other kids in his village. Lucio had a previous lip repair as an infant. He has always been very self-conscious about his lip scars and came to us for further reconstruction. He came to us with his mother and he had already put a lot of thought into his surgery and those who would help him.

Even at his young age he had a great appreciation for his differences as well as for those he hoped would be able to help him. Right before his surgery a scared Lucio handed this letter to one of our team members.

From the hand of Lucio Renan Parra: I am from the city of Puyo, wishing for all of you specialists lots of wisdom. and that God give you all lots of blessings so that all the operations performed by your medical team turn out well. All the children of the world want you to help us to be as happy as the rest of the kids. Friends, we want you to return to continue performing surgeries on the children that need them so badly.

I wish a pleasant and happy voyage to all the medical team and, from my part, Lucio Parra, I send you many happy greetings to you and your children and pray to God that your children will have the wisdom and sensitivity that you have shown us, and therefore, God will bless all of you and your families.
